Al-Ain International Trust was established in 2003 with the primary objective of providing free eye care, mainly to those poor people, suffering from treatable blindness and other eye related diseases. More recently, Trustees have extended the objectives to cater for basic Healthcare and Education in under-developing countries. These countries have dismal health statistics showing that thousands of poor people, mostly children die annually from preventable diseases and lack of access to basic health care. All of our Trustees are working voluntarily, to alleviate the pain, suffering and diseases, engulfing the poor and under-privileged people, which they have witnessed themselves during their visits to these countries. It is also well known that in developing and over populated countries, the government often neglects, due to inadequate resources, to provide for all the health needs of the poor communities. In such situations where primary healthcare needs remain severely under served and even basic preventive healthcare is almost unknown.
